Rowlett Middle Academy has proudly earned the Highly Effective Charter School distinction from the state for multiple years, a testament to our commitment to excellence. Our school consistently ranks high in academics, and we employ the best of the best—a dedicated team of educators who are passionate about student success. We hold our students to high standards, challenging them to reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment.

At Rowlett Middle Academy, the arts are at the heart of our community. We take immense pride in our exceptional programs in dance, band, orchestra, chorus, visual art, and drama, which have earned us a strong reputation throughout the region. Our students have the opportunity to explore and develop their artistic talents in a supportive and inspiring environment, allowing them to express themselves and grow in confidence.

Beyond the arts, we are also leaders in communications, film, and technology, competing at both state and national levels—where we consistently dominate. Our students engage in cutting-edge media projects, honing skills in storytelling, broadcasting, and digital production that prepare them for success in an increasingly tech-driven world.

Leadership is another cornerstone of the Rowlett experience. We instill in our students the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, ensuring they develop the character, confidence, and skills necessary for life beyond our walls. Through dedicated character-building classes and leadership opportunities, we prepare our students not just for high school, but for a lifetime of success.

In addition to our academic and artistic programs, we offer a variety of after-school sports to help students stay active, develop teamwork skills, and build school spirit. Our athletic programs include golf, volleyball, football, cross country, soccer, and basketball, providing opportunities for students to compete and grow both on and off the field.
