Important RMA 20-21 Updates

Hello RMA Families,
 
We've got some important updates to share with you. Please review this message thoroughly and reach out to the school office if you have any questions.
 
Student Schedules
- We've reached out to all families who did not complete the Q1 instructional survey. If you haven't heard from us, rest assured, we have your selection.
- We are still finalizing student schedules and our goal is to have them updated and viewable in Focus by Friday, August 14th at the latest. 
- If you aren't connected to the FOCUS portal yet, please complete the required paperwork and email it to [email protected]. The paperwork can be found here:

Busing Information
- A&S Transportation will be reaching out directly regarding route and scheduling assignments. If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach out to them directly at 239-434-0777.

Bloomz Update
-If you are new to RMA, we utilize an app called Bloomz as our communication system. On Friday morning, we will be removing all 19-20 information from our system. For current users, there may be a brief window of time when the Bloomz app shows no connections for you. 
- However, once we upload the 20-21 contact information, you'll receive an invitation (via email and/or text) to reconnect. Please re-connect ASAP so that you will be able to communicate with your teachers, but also so that you receive regular schoolwide updates. Please note that because there are so many scheduling adjustments for the first few weeks, you will not be connecting directly to your child's classes. You will be in a general RMA messaging group temporarily. If you need to reach your child's teacher during this time, you are welcome to call the school or utilize the staff directory on our website: www.rowlettmiddeacademy.org. 
- We will also share updates on our Parent Facebook page and the News and Announcements section of our website to keep in touch with you through this process.
- If for some reason you are unable to log-in to Bloomz after the switch, you may need to reset your Bloomz password. Parent University / Parent Forum Opportunity
-On Saturday, August 15th, we'll be provided a variety of pre-recorded information sessions as part of our Parent University offering! You'll be able to review these sessions at your convenience.
-However, we'll be hosting a Live Parent Forum via Zoom from 11AM-Noon on Saturday, August 15th where we'll address any questions you might have about eLearning, Hybrid instruction, or Face-to-Face Learning.
